Last week, some friends said they were going to hook me up with a new girlfriend.
I asked them to wait until later in the month so it would be cheaper.
But it reminded me of this money-saving Valentine’s Day tip:
Fellas, many girls expect a bunch of red roses at this time of year; but they can be very expensive because shops and florists inflate the prices knowing they have a captive market.
So instead, buy white roses. That might not sound as romantic – but they are a lot cheaper, and if you buy them today you can put them in a vase with some red food colouring – they’ll be red by tomorrow.
